I guess I am rather an impulse buyer rather than a planner. The idea of finding an unexpected treasure - that's what excites me. Though in this wide open field I from time to time form an attachment to a certain kind of a item I'd like to add to my collection. It's not really a plan, but somewhere on the back of my mind I have a vague dream of what would be nice to find.
A denim dress was one such item I thought would be nice to add to my dresses collection. Dresses by far are my most favorite type of clothing to wear and to style. And while I am not a huge denim fan in general, I wanted to find a denim dress which emphasized my body shape.
When I found this dress in Lane Bryant's limited collection (they call it Fast Lane), I got very excited. It wasn't the exact style that I envisioned, but it had such appealing details, rich color and figure flattering shape, I gave it a try. I will admit, I rejected it at first - while the dress fit me perfectly everywhere, I thought it was too loose in the hips. But after a while, I found myself coming back to this dress in my mind over and over again. So I gave it a second chance. I am glad I did!
I only wore it a couple of times so far, it is very comfortable, and you know how some clothing brings something out of your personality that is usually asleep? That's this dress, and I probably should keep it a secret, what exactly it brings out of me - a girl needs a secret, doesn't she? I'll just tell you that it's something fun and playful. :)
